Writing for PR Course Work
In my Writing for PR course, I developed a strong foundation in creating strategic, audience-centered content across a variety of formats. My coursework included building audience personas to better understand target publics, writing fact sheets and news releases to deliver key messages clearly and concisely, and applying the PESO model to integrate paid, earned, shared, and owned media strategies. I created a media pitch and newsjacking social post to demonstrate timeliness and relevance in PR messaging, and I analyzed diversity and inclusion in communications to ensure ethical and representative storytelling. I also produced a professional eNewsletter and a feature article, both aimed at informing and engaging readers while aligning with organizational goals. These assignments strengthened my ability to write with purpose, adapt to different media formats, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
