Hi everyone and welcome to my website!

My name is Siena Varano, and I am a sophomore at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I am a public relations major with a strong passion for sports. Born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, my love for sports was shaped by annual trips to Yankee games in the Bronx, where I experienced firsthand the excitement and community that sports create. Growing up in a family with such a strong love for sports has allowed me to form an authentic appreciation for athletics. I enjoy traveling, drawing, and spending time with family and friends.

At Syracuse, I’ve been able to combine my passion for sports with my skills in public relations, exploring how strategic communication can elevate athletic brands, teams, and events. My experiences inside and outside an academic setting have allowed me to gain hands-on experience working in sports public relations, solidifying my passion to resonate and inspire audiences.

My ultimate goal as a public relations practitioner is to embrace the power of storytelling to capture the essence of sports. I intend to do so by using my strategic skills to enhance a sense of loyalty, tradition, and pride to form connections between teams, athletes, and fans. I strive to create the connections I felt towards the Yankees at such a young age and craft relationships that go beyond the game of sports.
